About the Berkeley Academy

The Berkeley Academy is committed to ensuring that all of its scholars have the preparation, skills, and knowledge necessary to succeed in college and beyond. This is accomplished through a six-year program that starts the summer before a scholar’s seventh grade year and ends upon the completion of high school.

The program is comprised of:

  • a rigorous and engaging six-week summer program

  • Saturday enrichment programming throughout the school year

  • mentoring throughout the school year

  • comprehensive college preparation workshops for high school students and their families

  • Teachers Teaching Teachers: a highly selective, eight-week summer teaching training program for current high school and college students who are interested in pursuing a career in education
